BEHIND THE NUT

BEHIND THE NUT - Take Your Foot Off The Gas

... are a fantastic group based in Suffolk who specialise in seamlessly blending Grunge / Rock and Metal influences to create their own potent sound.

The group also use their music and performances as an opportunity to promote mental health charities and wellbeing, a subject that is close to their heart.

BEHIND THE NUT - You Could Have Been Friends

BEHIND THE NUT hail from Ipswich and have been in existence with various formations for approx 6 years, before settling into it’s most widely recognised line up of AJ , Kristina , kev , Arnab and Tomasz. They write and perform their own material, although they have been known to throw in the occasional recognisable cover version , brought to life with their distinctive BTN sound.

They have an acoustic album ( 50/50 ) , as well as an E.P featuring the full band sound called Holiday In Dystopia - which was described by Ballroom Blitz as ‘ ...a varied selection of six tracks mixing impressive acoustic and electric guitar tones, fluid drum work and melancholic lyrics to good effect, which bodes well for future releases by the band.’

There are some music videos featuring tracks from these on the band’s YouTube channel, as well as the stand-alone track ‘You Could Have Been Friends’ which was co-written & features EA Music Scene legend Stan Downsetter.

Their versatility as a band means they are able to play acoustic or full electric shows and have already many substantial gigs under their belt, including a duo performance at a May Day festival that received a fantastic crowd response - with the audience dancing and interacting with the group. This was followed by a packed pre-lockdown gig at The Smokehouse, Ipswich. The hiatus from lockdown didn’t dampen their spirits as they utilised the medium of streaming to great benefit , keeping their momentum going until live music returned. 2022 has since seen them playing The Brickmakers, Norwich (for The A.I.R Events), as well as a sold-out benefit gig in Ipswich.

With live music very much back in full swing again you can expect to catch BEHIND THE NUT playing live near you soon - make sure you head to their social’s for full updates and gig lists.
